AI is already in the classroom. Governance is not, yet.
The arrival of generative AI in classrooms has left a governance gap: schools today have no structured way to decide, document and demonstrate how AI is used in each activity, or to protect minors under the applicable data protection rules. This gap is closing fast, for two reasons:
- Growing regulatory pressure: the EU AI Act and the data protection framework for minors push schools towards auditable AI use protocols, not towards a ban or uncontrolled use.
- Parents' trust: schools —especially private and state-funded private ones— need to show that AI use is governed and safe, as a way to stand out educationally.
Unlike generic classroom AI tools (assistants, tutors, automatic marking), Advantys AI Education does not compete at the teaching-product layer but at the governance and compliance layer: it audits and governs the use of those tools rather than replacing them.
Three modules, one complete governance cycle
The platform is built around three modules that cover the whole cycle, from school leadership down to the student.
Institutional governance
School leadership sets up AI use protocols and levels (from 0 to 4).
Teacher management
Teachers create learning activities set to a permitted level of use, with an editable AI Use Agreement generated automatically.
Access and traceability
Teacher and student sign the agreement as a condition of accessing the AI assistant, with a complete record of evidence.
The process ends with the issue of a “Skills Passport” for the student and an institutional certification, “Responsible AI School”, renewed periodically — an ongoing relationship with the school, not a one-off project.
